Coolpad Cool 5 Build And Design

The company has introduced Coolpad Cool 5 in two colors. You can buy the phone in Midnight Blue or Gradient Blue option. As we have seen in many fonts in this segment, the device has been given a plastic back panel.

However, the gradient back panel is quite glossy, and if you do not use the back cover provided in the box, then soon your fingerprints back panel Will appear on Apart from this, you can see the dual-camera setup on the back of the phone, which is paired with LED flash and the rear fingerprint sensor is also available in the phone which works fine. The notch at the top of the display effectively reduces the top bezels, but thicker bezels can still be seen at the bottom.

Apart from this, the SIM tray has been given on the left side of the phone, and the power button and volume button are placed on the left side. USB Type-C port is also available in the phone, used for fast charging and data transfer.

Coolpad Cool 5 Display

A 6.22-inch TFT IPS display has been provided on the Coolpad Cool 5 Phone’s front panel, which offers a full HD resolution of 1520 × 720 pixels. A small notch is provided at the top of the display, which has a front camera. The color output of the display is decent, and sunlight visibility also does not disappoint. You can easily do your daily work on it.

Coolpad Cool 5 Performance

Talk about the performance of Coolpad Cool 5, so the device performs well based on price. The smartphone has been given MediaTek’s Helio P22 SoC chipset, which offers decent performance. The Helio P22 SoC is often compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. The MediaTek Helio P22 SoC is built on the TSMC 12nm FinFET process. The Cool 5 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is enough for everyday tasks.

If you like gaming a bit, this device will not disappoint you; however, if you do heavy gaming, you have to think once. Apart from this, if we talk about the Face Unlock feature available in the phone, then it is not as good as we get in other phones getting this segment. Sometimes it takes longer to detect the face, and you have to use a fingerprint sensor. Speaking of Coolpad Cool 5 OS, the device is based on Android 9 Pie.

However, the results are not as bad considering the price. You will find a lack of details somewhere in the pictures, and if you talk about a selfie camera, then it takes good pictures in the light of day, but the camera performance is not unique in low-light.
